Student Profile: Behzad Dabu
Date: 5/17/2008 to 7/30/2008 Behzad Dabu has quite the unique first name—his parents are Indian, but the name is Persian. Literally, the name translates to “born lucky”—but little did Behzad’s parents know that they were bringing into the world a child who was not only lucky, but also an intelligent, ambitious, and gifted actor.

A Behind-the-Scenes look at Manifest Spectacle Costume Designs
Date: 5/14/2008 12:56 PM to 6/16/2008 Elsa Hiltner was just one of the talented, creative, and artistic minds behind this year’s Manifest Urban Arts Festival parade. Managing Columbia’s Spectacle Costume Shop, Elsa was able to visualize, design, and construct “tons of amazing costumes,” ranging from the giant jellyfish that were inside the six-foot, gigantic helium balloons, to backpacks equipped with the gauzy, winged apparatuses. ... read the complete entry

Columbia at Cannes: A Student Blog
Date: 5/13/2008 to 5/25/2008 At Columbia College Chicago, we're serious about our "hands-on, minds-on" approach to higher education. Across the Pond
Date: 5/12/2008 1:46 PM to 5/19/2008 The end of the semester holds a whole new level of meaning for the study abroad student in London. We only have a few weeks to get in any last-ditch London experiences. I bought tickets to a concert at Astoria 2, a notorious venue for hardcore and alternative-rock that is slated to be torn down. A few students are going to attempt to rush through every museum in London in a day. ... read the complete entry

Manifest at Looptopia
Date: 5/7/2008 12:34 PM to 5/19/2008 It was a happy marriage! Two downtown arts festivals together at last! Last Friday, a couple of Manifest's TicToc performers participated in this year's Looptopia. Anni Holm performed her piece "Green" and Justin Kaufmann and (with the good people from Schadenfreude) taught us "How to Act Like a Cowboy". ... read the complete entry
