Radio Internships

Radio station internships have evolved over the years to the point that interns actually learn and become part of the team at a station. We constantly and consistently secure internships in every avenue of the radio/media industry. Our motto is quite simple: You give us your full effort and we will provide you the resources to succeed in this industry. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication and responsibility, and at Columbia we feel we have the necessary assets to put you on that path.

Simply put, internships allow a student to gain much needed experience in the Radio industry while developing networking opportunities that could last a lifetime. The bottom line is if you want to succeed in this industry, doing an internship will allow you to get one step closer to your "dream job." We tell incoming students that the most important thing to do in your quest to meet requirements is to maintain and obtain. Maintain your grades while striving to obtain as much knowledge and experience about the industry in which you are interested in. That means doing some extras. Check out the media sections of both Chicago papers, listen to as much radio as you can and don't get pigeonholed on your "favorite" station. In some cases your "favorite" station might not be the best place to obtain the hands- on experience we expect every student to get. Doing these things along with a solid GPA will allow you to get that foot in the door.

What Radio Stations are saying about our interns....
